We also have Insight Meditation, Renew Pilates a few doors down. Need a chiropractor or a haircut? We have those in the building too!
About The Art Band
The Art Band is a collective of 7+ artists working out of Studio 228 at Eastworks, founded in 2020 to build a creative community grounded in mutual support and shared exploration. We meet monthly to lead skill-based workshops for each other—sharing techniques, creating art side-by-side, and building community through conversation and creative exchange.
The Winter-Resident will join our collective for the duration of the residency!
Each member brings a distinct voice to the space:
Sharona explores mesmerizing color and awe through murals and design at The Color Collaborative.
Maricela creates colorful, layered urban landscapes that evoke movement and also DJs as DJ Mela!
Amelia brings humor, speed, and looseness to her illustration, embracing play and personality.
Maddie experiments with a painterly style, blending queerness, femininity, and conceptual art.
Ryan uses art to open dialogue around mental health, seeking joy and honesty through detailed stencil-work and mural making
Mary works with place, light, and the body—exploring belonging, lineage, and seasonal transitions through thoughtful, atmospheric work.
Hani is a prolific maker across any medium you hand her - textiles, paint, music, and more - she’ll bring her colorful style to anything.
Amber leads tea ceremonies, tends the land, and paints beautiful, intentional signs rooted in care.
The Art Band believes in taking our time, supporting one another, and growing creatively in a space where it’s safe to show up, take risks, and make work that matters.
